Many soda companies marketed metal coolers in the postwar period, but the most common, of course, was the Coca-Cola cooler. Made from painted steel on the outside with embossed lettering, and galvanized steel on the interior, the American family could pack a large number of bottles (with ice on top) for their day or weekend outing, and stay refreshed.
